The University of Regina has published the most comprehensive source of information on Saskatchewan.
The 1,092-page Encyclopedia of Saskatchewan took more than 800 writers nine years to research, write and edit.
The book -- launched Thursday -- features 2,100 entries, including 21 in-depth essays.
At the launch, David Gauthier, its publisher and general manager, said: "I think we all have a great sense of pride in the accomplishment."
Every school in Saskatchewan will receive a copy. The retail price in bookstores will be $125.
The encyclopedia was published to help celebrate Saskatchewan's centennial as a province.
